Shari McKoy - Secretary
Shari McKoy currently works as an Administrative Assistant with RREEF Alternative Investments, the global Alternative Investment Management business of Deutsche Bank’s Asset Management divisions. She is responsible for supporting the Chief Executive Officer of Asia Pacific as well as five other professionals. Prior to working with RREEF, Shari worked as an Executive Assistant in the Associate Investment Monitoring Group at Banc of America Securities. Shari has over ten years of Executive Assistant experience, concentrated in the financial and industry. Administrative Professionals come from many different lifestyles. Shari’s career path, although unplanned, has provided a wide variety of valuable experiences. Her early career is comprised of positions as a Receptionist, Accounts Payable Clerk, Full Charge Bookkeeper, and Office Manager in the Commodities, Entertainment, Telecommunications and Design industries. Rounding out the above positions were jobs in Customer Service, Sales, Marketing and Event Production. In terms of being an Administrative Professional, Shari considers poise, initiative, creativity and flexibility skills that are as important to own as Microsoft Office proficiency, operating a switchboard, and trouble-shooting a jammed printer. Volunteerism is also an important part of Shari’s life. Until recently, she was a board member of AALUSC, a women’s organization, where she was involved with programming and organizational management. Prior service to AALUSC was as their Financial Chairperson. Another commitment was Frameline, where she was the Event Coordinator for the inaugural year the artists’ series CloseUp; and as a volunteer captain and usher during their annual film festival. Shari was also a lighting technician and producer for Luna Sea, a non-profit theater organization. Shari holds a professional certificate in Meeting Planning from San Francisco State University, and plans to resume her higher education in the near future. She has been a member of IAAP for one year, where she has acted as a volunteer to the Board. Shari’s goal is to be an asset to the New York Chapter leadership.
